From Muizenburg to the Garden Route, from Stellenbosch to Kirstenbosch, I love every part of Cape Town, South Africa and the surroundings. I made a decision on the flip of a coin to join a program in Cape Town in January of 2013, and I had no idea it would change my life so drastically. That trip opened my eyes to a part of the world I never thought I’d go.
Cape Town has given me some of my best friends, my most fun memories, my craziest stories, and the adventure-loving life I have now. I can’t (and frankly never want to) imagine my life without having visited Cape Town.
This post includes a photo diary from both of my trips (2013 and 2014) to Cape Town and along the Garden Route. I originally posted it way back in 2014, and I decided to revisit and revamp the post to show Cape Town through my eyes. It includes:
- A few winery visits in Stellenbosch
- Hiking Table Mountain
- Hiking Muizenburg Mountain
- Knysna Head
- Chapman’s Peak
- Boulder Beach
- Kalk Bay
- Panthera Big Cat Sanctuary
- Jeffrey’s Bay & Super Tubes
- Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai
- Cape Aghulas
- Bungee Jumping at Bloukrans
I have to shoutout to Karen, Laura, and Louise for snapping some of the photos featured, especially the beautiful ones of me that I still use and love to this day. Also to everyone I’ve met on both of my trips to South Africa – thank you for being you. Much Love.
