Tonsai Beach, Krabi, Thailand – not technically an island, but might as well be being only accessible by long-tail boat from main port, Ao Nang. It’s a tiny town with dirt paths, a few strings of lowkey Thai eateries and bars, and some inspiring, chill people. This place instills the mentality of taking life slow… but only after you’ve spent the greater part of the morning rock climbing, slack lining, or kayaking. It’s hard to find someone only spending a day or two here – most end up becoming a resident for weeks or months. I was lucky enough to “get stuck” for over 2 weeks and made some beautiful, amazing friends in the process.
